A practising regional HR leader and consultant

CP is a practising regional HR leader and consultant. He has more than 10 years of combined experience in HR Business Partnering, Learning, Talent and Organisation Development locally and regionally in the Asia Pacific and South-East Asia region. He has worked in various HR roles in the Singapore Civil Service, Multi-National Corporations (IT, Medical, Insurance Brokerage & Professional Services), Banking & Finance Institutions and high-growth technology-driven Start-Ups. He is currently leading the People and OD strategy for a start-up supported by the Singapore Central Bank (Monetary Authority of Singapore) to support the global fintech ecosystem. CP specialises in designing and conducting programs and solutions leveraging on various
psychometric profiling tools and assessments. As a trained and certified counsellor and coach, CP has designed and led many initiatives and strategies in progressive HR practices to enhance and strengthen employee relationship and engagement as well as diversity and inclusion at the workplace. He also provides internal and external performance and career coaching to aspiring HR and business leaders to people managers and business leaders. Since 2018, CP has been active in providing mostly pro-bono career coaching to job seekers, HR practitioners and graduating students. He holds the GCDF and GCDFi accreditations.

From time-to-time CP provides his expertise in HR to small and medium enterprises as well as regional offices of MNCs as a consultant in both operational (e.g. employment legislations and employee grievances) to strategic (e.g. organisation and talent development) matters. He is also a local faculty member with Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and PSB Academy for their undergraduate and post-graduate programs and a visiting faculty member of Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand for their HR programs. He also provides training in HR, Project Management and Privacy Data Protection with NTUC Learning Hub. In 2021 CP wrote and launch an advanced certificate program with Singapore Management University (SMU) Academy in conjunction with Society of HR Management (SHRM) and Institute of HR Professional (IHRP) and subsequently appointed as an Affiliate Faculty Member.

CP is also active with many HR professional bodies as an accredited senior HR professional, serving as the SHRM Representative and Master Facilitator in Singapore and also as their Global Content Developer, Volunteer Code of Conduct Investigator with CIPD (UK), HR Mentor with AHRI (Australia) and as a Volunteer Task Force member and Assessor with IHRP (Singapore). As a trained certificate holder with the Association of Workplace Investigators, CP also conducts workplace investigations involving employee workplace misconduct.
